Creative Classroom — Case Study

Overview

Creative Classroom is a brand developed to offer fundraising products to primary schools — starting with personalised items featuring children’s artwork.

The goal was to create a website that could introduce this idea clearly, while supporting a wide range of products and allowing the offering to grow over time.

The Starting Point

At the outset, the project began with just a name and logo.

The initial idea focused on customised Christmas cards, but the business had the potential to offer far more. The challenge was to take a broad range of existing products and shape them into something that felt clear, relevant, and easy for schools to understand.

It wasn’t just about presenting products — it was about turning them into a structured and marketable offering.

My Approach

I started by stepping back and looking at the business as a whole.

The focus was on translating a wide range of products into something that made sense for the people using the site — primarily teachers, principals, and school organisers.

I organised the offering in two ways — by key moments in the school year, and by product type — so schools can either explore ideas for specific occasions or quickly find a particular product.

From there, I planned the structure of the site to feel more like a clear product catalogue than a traditional online shop. The goal was to make everything easy to browse and understand, while guiding users towards making an enquiry.

Each product was given its own page, with consistent layouts and clear information, so schools can quickly understand what’s available and how it works.

Alongside the structure, I developed the overall look and feel of the site — keeping it clean and approachable, and aligned with the tone of the brand.

I then built the entire platform from the ground up, including page templates, product layouts, enquiry forms, and all supporting pages.

The Outcome

The result is a clear, structured website that turns a broad idea into something simple and easy to use.

Schools can explore products in a way that feels natural to them, understand how the process works, and make enquiries with confidence.

Behind the scenes, the business now has a flexible platform that can continue to grow — with the ability to add new products and expand the offering over time.

What this means for the business

Creative Classroom now has more than just a single product idea — it has a strong foundation for a growing brand.

The website acts as a central place to present, organise, and develop new offerings, making it easier to reach schools and support ongoing fundraising throughout the year.
